Canoeing Hints!

* Leave valuables at home or put them in a waterproof bag!
* Use straps on glasses (available at the canoe livery)
* Must wear shoes, strap on sandals are recommended.
* Bring a change of clothes!
* Don't wear cotton! Wear wool or polyester blend materials.
* Bring insect repellent and/or sun tan oil or sun screen.
* Bring waterproof disposable cameras or put camera in waterproof bags.
* Plan to take along something to drink.
* Glass containers and Styrofoam coolers are prohibited.
* Wear your life jackets!!! (supplied at the canoe livery)

Directions To Smith's Pleasant Valley

Coming from the Columbus area take 71 north to St Rt. 97. Take St Rt. 97 east until it dead ends into St Rt. 3. Turn left which is taking you north on St Rt. 3. Approximately 1 mile north is Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Co Rd 3175/Wally Road is directly across from Little Brown Inn on St Rt. 3. Turn right onto Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Go 4 miles east on Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. The campground and cabins are down the 2nd driveway after the steel bridge.
